I'd just love to see all my grandkids today.
Since I can't, I'll let you see one.
This is Drew at the Dog (animal) Park,
on the park bench he made
with his animals having food.
Drew in Jail.
Drew in the Robot house.
Drew with a giant book about Spiderman.
Drew having fun at Grandma's house
where everything sitable is on the floor
or draped into hide-a-ways.
Where you can be anything you can think up
and anything is possible.
Grandma-Mother's day is good!

This is such a grandma-grandson collection of photos I had to laugh, so reminded me of what grandsons do when they are visiting Grandma. Talked with Dan yesterday about Dante's years visiting Grandma and how I let him on my computer for years until he finally brought it to a complete stop and had to be banned, but he sure had fun for hours and hours until then, plus all our talks, mostly about his relationships with my son, his dad, as I guess he figured I would be his best ally in the war against dads knowing his dad better than anybody. Fun photos! Brought back memories of Jamal, too!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very charming poem and cute photos too. I like the idea of honoring a little grandson on Mother's day. Now that is original. It especially made me think of my times with Mason when he was a little boy. He always played so vigorously and came out with funny things. He and Melba were great buds He sort of blamed me that she died before he was ready. She lives very deeply in his memory as she always charmed him with creative things, like the magic box. My little Trevor and Bryce are special little boys and they sent me a card with a gazillion hugs and kisses. I'm not sure just how many that is but it felt like lots. Happy Mother/Grandma's day to you dear friend.
