This is the family that lives close..
and I can ran down to their church
for a piano recital.
Drew said they were all in
black and white, so changed from
his orange shirt to black and white.
The girls played.
The solos were more difficult
than I expected, so was surprised.
I hope they keep on playing
the piano for years to come.

Spring in St. Geoge
I was pleased to see
Spring in St. George
even though I returned to
Panguitch in a blizzard!
Spring makes us restless,
wanting to get outside,
plant something.
Tom was sent 200 onion sprouts
that he wants to get into the ground.
The dogs can tear around on the
lawn without shivering and
getting ice crystal toes.
(Except Lola still whines
and shivers, would rather
do her job inside a warm
house!)
Rolain stopped by with
danger of death on her arms
and face, but says she will
buy flowers and plant for
spring.
Kids play soccer.
Kids run outside to jump
on the tramp.
Kids love spring.
And so do I!

STUNNED
I am stunned by this book by Sharon
I so admire her determination to
bring out the truth of her life
and how her molestation affected her
in so many ways.
She analyzes so well the many aspects
of her family that caused such distress
to her life, her clinging to what was
right and true in spite of near death
and many disasters.
How poor, how frail
and yet having the courage of truth
no matter how many wanted it covered.
I can only imagine the hope she gives
to other victims...
or the fear she might bring to molesters
the world over, wondering if their
truth will be told.
I have not read your poems, Sharon,
but I will. Through your brilliant
analysis of your family, we can see
the flaws in our own. I think this is a
book written for love and in anquish
for a lifetime of fear and pain.
I admire it and you so.

Logan's great picture
I tried to catch the right
moment, but I am way too slow!
Logan took my camera and did
this great shot of Garret jumping.
I had to post. It is too good to miss.
I was in St. George enjoying Spring.
Winter is here in Panguitch.

Actual Cover
I thought you'd be interested in the
actual cover. Isn't this a good picture of the
Jepsen Ranch House? Cheryl is busy working
on the final draft. She is good
at what she does.

Boulder Ranching Book
This is a picture from the top of Thompson Ledge
looking down on what used to be our ranch
in Boulder, Utah. It is a small part of
the book of Home, Homesteads, and Ranching.
Cheyl stopped by to give me a look
and I am excited by what I saw.
This is not a book to be read and studied,
just a book of ownership...who
has what! Along with pictures
and Brands. A history of land
ownership in Boulder. Look forward to
seeing it! Look forward to the
Boulder Festival!

Cover Page
How do you like the cover page for my book?
I couldn't get the pictures to fit until I used the text boxes. Cheryl, do you have any suggestions to make it better? It took me a couple of hours to make this work.
Can I just cut and Paste to put in front of my book? I have it in a separate folder right now. What do you think?

Outside my bedroom window..
I took this picture yesterday
from my bedroom window.
My visiter thinks she's hidden
behind the lilac bushes.
She lay thrughout the afternoon
perfectly content...
good thing Bruno went home
or he would have run her off!
I think the deer find us
a good place to be.
Tom shovels off snow under
the crab apple tree they feed on.
They eat cedar berries,
dried quakie leaves,
and the seeds meant for birds.
She enjoyed her afternoon nap!

This Morning's Snow
My house is a picture postcard today.
The snow fell once more.
I groaned. It is pretty, but...
I am anxious for warmer air,
for green to be bursting forth,
for flowers to appear.
It's March all ready!
I went to St. George into Spring
and returned in a blizzard.
What a world of difference
two hours make.
And I wait,
and wait once more.

Against Abortion
I thought I'd add my voice to those protesting abortion, protesting paying for abortion and hope we can stop that inclusion in
the health care bill. President Obama is determined to get health care through no matter what is necessary. He was ready to make certain concessions to try to get the Republican Vote (abortion out) and the Democrats that are pro-choice wouldn't sign..so now he is back to pushing it through without a Republican vote, including paying for abortion. I sent an e-mail to Bob Bennett asking where it is best to protest in Utah since I couldn't get on to the website Gerry published (Daughters of the Shadowmen). What can we do to stop this bill?
